A Morning on the Farm

There is just something about mornings on a farm and capturing those first rays of the sun.
Perhaps its the silence and feeling of solitude,
perhaps its the rthymn of the animals breathing,
perhaps its just knowing that in some way the meaning of life is surrounding you in that very moment.

This past Saturday was the coldest morning of the year, well into the single range. Everything was crystalized and just glistening as the sun started to peek over the horizon.

I wish I had a better camera to share the morning pictures but perhaps you already understand the beauty of those mornings. The coldness, the stillness, your face just pinched with redness from the cold, the snow crunching under your boots, and then those first baas coming from inside the barn...............

Sometimes its just nice to sit and take it all in for a moment, to appreciate what one has, and to wonder what the new day will bring.

Morning is, indeed, a wonderful time of day and your photos depict it well. I love the last one, especially.

Morning is great, although it even looks cold in those pictures brrr. The snow does make everything very beautiful though.

I love to take in the mornings here on the farm before I have to be inside all day long in a room with no windows....sigh. Those sunrises get me through some long days. Now I can picture Dixie sitting there absorbing the beauty as well and I will smile. Bless her!

Beautiful but cold pictures! I think you need to turn your header into a Christmas card. It's so perfect.
