Shearing anxiety

Tuesday is shearing day.
Tuesday's weather forecast is 80% chance of rain.
Of course this would happen because I am on springbreak.
I scheduled this 3 weeks ago.
It is the only day of the week, besides today in which there is rain.
The shearer leaves for Minnesota for a big shearing job on Friday.
If I have to cancel shearing, the reschedule will probably not happen till the first of May.
I annoyed and having anxiety issues right now.
I think if Ethan could see me, he would be telling me he is annoyed too.
I am trying to guess how much the Cotswold fleece will weigh. This year is the thickest wool I have ever seen on all of my Cotswolds.
I scraped down one of the 10x10 stalls today.
It was really thick......11 wheel barrel loads I hauled out to manure pile.
Why have a pass to a health club when I can do this?
I was feeling pretty strong today.
Tonight I am feeling pretty sore.
Single farm chick going down for the count tonight.

Most people around here don't shear until May, it seems late to me. They get a traveling shearer to come and do a bunch of farms.

I hope the rain holds off for you. I will guess the fleece weighs 10 pounds. My Corrie had a 12 pound one and my Cheviot a 6 so I thought somewhere inbetweeen. :) Good luck.

Have a fun shearing day Kristi ~ Hopefully it's a bright, sunny day....your sheepies will feel so much lighter without all that wool :) I'm going to try and do a few more the end of the week - supposedly we are in for some nice, warm weather!

I'm still thinking about some cotswold - heaven knows I don't need anymore fiber but it looks yummy!

I hope you got to shear. I know how you feel, I'm scheduled for tommorrow, and I'm not sure I'm gonna make it! ha... The stress, the stress. It's such an ordeal getting everyone tricked into cooperating and then the weather is so iffy. This is my second appointment, the first got canceled. He is booked pretty solid now, so am hoping it happens tomorrow. Take care and hope it goes well!
